Welcome to the April 2024 Sibshop!
Trickle In: Expand-A-Picture
As we gathered today, we flexed both our creative & artistic muscles. In Expand-A-Picture, one or two small prompts are given and it is up to artist to envision and fill in the rest of the picture. As always, our Sibshoppers are incredibly creative and surprise us with their amazing ideas and talents every time!
Following our traditional Welcome/Introductions and review of Expecations & Consequences, we went out to enjoy the wonderful sunshine and play some ridiculously fun pool noodle games.
Standing Pool Noodle Game:
The objective is to keep all pool noodles standing as you run in a circle and grab the pool noodle belonging to your next door neighbor.
Here's our winner with the last pool noodle standing!
Body Part Relay:
The objective is to keep your pool noodle balanced with your partner and get across the finish line as quickly as possible. The trick is you must balance the pool noodle only using one specific body part. Possibilities include belly to belly, head to head, shoulder to shoulder.
Frisbee Relay:
The objective is to balance the frisbee on top of a pool noodle and win the relay
with your teammates by crossing the finish line first.
Last Noodle Standing:
Again, the objective is to win this relay as a team by crossing the finish line first. First, you grab one pool noodle, run it to your teammate who grabs in and then runs to grab the second noodle and hands off both noodles to the next teammate. This continues till the final teammate crosses the finish line with all 6 pool noodles in tow.
Boom Clap Snatch makes everyone giggle!
Our Sibshoppers grabbed partners for a fun Dice Rolling Discussion Activity.
They learned a lot about one another and their siblings as they shared their likes, dislikes, hopes, dreams, challenges and unique experiences as siblings.
We had some yummy homemade lunchables for lunch which we followed
with a dance-off and then an active game of
Tic Tac Toe Relay
We sure enjoyed April's workshop and look forward to seeing you in May!
