July 2013

We start each Sibshop off with a trickle-in activity while all the Sibshoppers gather. Most of the time we do some sort of art project and this month was no exception. Aren't these the best animal hand puppets you have ever seen? The kids did a great job thinking of fun animals to make and they gave them THE BEST faces!

Pictionary is a favorite game of our Sibshoppers. They love using the dry erase markers and white board.
This crazy relay race involved 2 old and cut up t-shirts, surprise relay actions and all the kids shoes.

The relay was followed by a great old fashioned race across the long green lawn. Races are one of the kids favorite activities. They also shared with one another their favorite summer activities to do with their sibling with special needs. Sounds like the kids are having a lot of summer fun!
Toppling Towers requires team work and cooperation. The kids were frantic as they build tall towers and tried to protect them from the onslaught of the other teams weapons.

Color Guard is a new Sibshop favorite! The kids keep asking to play it again and again. It is a great game to keep everybody moving and all the running made the popsicles taste even sweeter at the end!
See you in August for our Annual "Summer Fun" Sibshop with water play and tie-dye!
