Welcome to our September Sibshop
We got going with a silly "Crazy Cartoon" art activity. It's kind of like a draw your own adventure where you choose what type of face, eyes, nose, mouth, hair and body you want for your creation. We've never seen the the same crazy creation twice!
Following our trickle in art activity, we gathered for our welcome and introductions. We always enjoy getting to know one another a little better. Then it was off to the races--the caterpillar races that is!
Next up was a fun game of "Truth or Dare." We got to share and enjoy some silly dares and heard some vulnerable truths about being a sibling. We enjoyed giggling with and connecting with one another.
This dare of standing on one foot then hopping on one foot for as long as you could would have lasted forever. This Sibshopper has great balance!
These friends are making the ugliest faces they possilbly can. We appreciated their effort!
We are always grateful for the vulnerability our Sibshoppers exhibit as they share the good, bad and so-so of having a sibling with special needs.
We played a little Pictionary and had a yummy pizza lunch before playing some "Push Pin Soccer". Our Sibshoppers love it! It's active and frantic and noisy and a ton of fun.
We wrapped up today's workshop with a little cookie decorating while reading "Courage" by Bernard Waber.
Our Sibshoppers courageously covered their cookies with sugary treats of all sorts!
We love our Sibshoppers!
