First on the agenda--creating some lucky leprechauns and using our leprechaun name generator to get the perfect Irish name. I'm Jovial McStumpy!
Crafting was followed by our traditional Welcome where we greet & meet and go over our Rules & Expectations. We were pleased to make some new friends this month.
Our Sibshoppers really enjoyed a silly game of "Do You Love Your Neighbor?"
We then sat down to relax and enjoy some bibliotherapy. There are excellent books out there about brothers and sisters of children with special needs. You can find some and others about individuals with disabilities at www.dollygrayaward.com
We enjoyed a lucky lunch of green pancakes, green grapes and green juice boxes. Tater tots represented our pot of gold! That might have been a stretch, but it was tasty.
Then it was time to get blood pumping with a ridiculously fun game of "Turtle Tag." This was a new one for us at came at the recommendation of one of our seasoned Sibshoppers. We loved it! Get tagged and you end up a Turtle on its back and you wait for help for another play to get you moving again.
Our Sibshoppers then spent some time sharing what they wish they would find at the end of a rainbow. Traditional lore says a pot of gold is wating for you. We asked our Sibshoppers to consider what they would want most for their siblings that money couldn't buy. Friendship, achievement and happiness topped the list.
"Color Guard" was next. Our Sibshoppers love this quick and fun game.
